Home At Evening

While not the best lighting in the least, it's a precious picture to me because Robin~Robin, for the first time, did not show up at the back door in the morning, and was MIA all day long, leading me to have to accept that something had likely happened to her in the night (owl, weasel, snake...). I was feeling really low about having to accept that the backyard was going to be an empty space without her company from this day forward. There's nothing as sweet as something that's been lost finally being found. So happy to see you at the end of this day, little bird.
I'm so glad that he came home!

Happy for you that you found her! I feel the same way about Fancy, a praying mantis that's been hanging out by my back door for a month now. It's a lovely photo with lots of mood and bokah! Is there anything a vet can do to help the poor bird's beak? I know some vets volunteer to treat hurt critters.

Cool capture. Glad your friend showed back up. Hopefully, it won't try to hide out for the whole day.

Welcome home Robin. I have a male cardinal who I worry about too when occasionally he goes missing for a couple of days.
