Hiking Copper Mountain by lynne5477

Hiking Copper Mountain

Took the American Eagle chairlift up about half-way and hiked the rest of the way up the mountain to the Patrol HQ where we relaxed on the deck for a bit before heading back down. Patrol HQ is at 12,000 ft which is 313 ft below the actual summit.

The highway below is I-70 looking toward Frisco, Co.
Beautiful capture! I love the composition and clarity of this shot! Did you use a neutral density filter?

@jennifer365 Jennifer, I did have an ND filter on but it was probably set at zero; or at least very close to the minimum.

It nice to see a summer view of this ski area.

Driven I-70 past this spot many times. Would love to have been there hiking up that mountain - what a glorious view. Like the line the chair lift makes - not a real fan of chair lifts (way back when preferred the rope tows :) ) but hiking from the bottom to the top wouldn't be an option so guess I'd have to get use to the chair lifts!

Beautiful! Copper is one of my favorite mountains to ski. I've never seen it in the summer.
