We hiked 3 miles (with my tripod in tow) up the Spruce Creek Trail just outside of Breckenridge, CO, to get to the lower portion of these falls. If you walk up a little further, there are even more amazing falls up above....but my hiking partners weren't quite up for more uphill hiking. Of course, they knew we had the 3 mile trek back down.
Beautiful exposure Lynne, I usually always carry my tripod and most of my equipment when I am out with my camera, 3 miles with a tripod is quite a trek but the benefits have paid off with this beautiful shot.
Definitely does show what good shape you're in! You got a big time winner - worth carrying that tripod because I don't think hand held would have gotten this. Perfect pov to catch all of this part of the falls and that blue sky, too.
