These little roses were still blooming in our yard when freezing cold temperatures hit us. Since I'm not motivated to go outside and take pictures when it's 24 degrees, I brought them in and this will have to do for my picture today, but I'm not crazy about it. Guess it fits the day, we don't have snow, just gray skies and brown everything.
Oh I see what you mean. Talk about polar opposites, well I suppose that is bound to happen since we live in the opposite parts of the world. But even with our scorching temps, apparently it is supposed to drop down to the mid to early 20's tomorrow (That's Celsius). I really like this photo anyway, it has lovely colours and really gives a feel of the winter to come. :-)
It is still beautiful, though. Lovely shot, Lynn. It is definitely getting near the end of the season. It was very cold here today, too, with wind chills in the 20's.
I just love it!!! You know why? Cause it's very romantic!! Especially the colors and processing!! It reminds me of all us females that "pressed" our first roses into a book, from the guy we loved at the time!!! FAV!!!
Great processing Lynn and nice warm colours! Sadly the frosts come and get them but there is also some great pics to come from us all in the those frosty days ahead!! Can't wait!!
My little roses look very much the same. There were so many buds ready to bloom but the early frigid temps cut their lives short. Pretty pinks you captured, even though they're faded.
It's very pretty! I know the feeling- it was gray yesterday and although it's sunny again today, it got really cold so I did not feel like going out to take a new shot. Staying warm is so much nicer!
This is a super shot, Lynn. It is fitting for the ending of one season and the beginning of the cold weather that brings that white stuff (it's a naughty word so I won't say it - that and I think if I don't say it won't happen!). Fav
