Camouflage

You'd never know this magnolia tree was all PINK a couple of days ago!
How striking to see it covered in snow! I hope that the snow melts quickly enough that the poor tree isn't too traumatized.

Wow - how things change. Was it a late blooming or an early snow?

@jeneurell Hi Jennifer, It was late snow. The magnolia tree was blooming as usual and loaded with blooms this year. We had snow yesterday too. Snow in April isn't all that unusual but not two days in a row. The blooms are mostly brown now.

If you look close, you can see the reddish flowers under the snow. We don't get snow here, but we are experiencing a similar less dramatic downturn of the mercury. It was high 70's the last few days. And will be mid to high 80's in the middle of the week coming. But for now, highs will be in the low sixties..Kind of a bummer. But there are fewer people out for strolls, so it does make physical distancing a little easier on one's walks.

I love late snowfalls, but they are supposed to damage the fruit trees already preparing for summer. This is beautiful. Fav

What a difference, I hope that the flowers had finished before the snowfall.
