I love something Amy Spada @aspada says in her profile: "Let your images stand for themselves. . ." but this time, I do want to say that this is for ALL of you for your time commitment, comments, views, critiques, inventiveness, creativity and the sheer volume of artistic endeavor that exists in the 365 community. Thank you, each and every one!
i love the warm tone, perfect heart! great texture on the trunk. amy has some beautiful shots and i enjoyed going through them. knowing a bit about what i'm looking at gives me more of a connection - i'm more of a "journaler" than a thinking artist. lol
A nice way to portray your appreciation to all friends, Lyn - we are of the same mind as you say! The support and thoughtful comments, the literary expertise and I have to say it - clean language!
Lyn, some questions for you when you have a few moments to spare... and also a big thank you. I already feel the benefit of attempting a challenge, but please can you explain a bit (or give me a link) about the 'Get-pushed challenge'? How many days do I do it for? How many people do I get contacted by? How do I find out who I have to give a challenge to? And finally, how on earth do you find time for all this and work???
OK. Have got most of the answers to above battery of questions by looking at the Get Pushed discussion. Since getting all your lovely comments I had to take my husband to hospital unexpectedly and have just left him being transferred to a cardiac unit. It's so damned difficult when you don't speak the language well even though I don't understand many medical terms even in English. However, I'm confident that he's in the best care now until they do more tests tomorrow. Consequently my head has not been in photo mode. I'll take a shot at the challenge you've suggested if I have time and depending on how things go with my husband/best friend. Meanwhile the only challenge that I can come up with for you is to suggest the polar opposite of the lovely flowers you often take: Urban Decay. Hope this works for you.
Oh, dear, Julie @julieco - I was just getting ready to respond and then saw your second pst here! I'm SO sorry for your husband's unexpected illness and the anxiety that is bound to be causing you. Certainly, your family is your first precedence in all regards! If you don't mind since I've already had "Urban Grunge" as my first challenge, I think I'll assign myself to work on multiple exposures since that was a recent weekly challenge that I am totally clueless about. I hope that's okay with you and it won't involve any thinking at all on your part! ;-) Just to show you, here are links to my grunge shots: http://365project.org/lyno/365/2012-08-03 http://365project.org/lyno/morethan365/2012-08-03 http://365project.org/lyno/morethan365/2012-08-05 http://365project.org/lyno/morethan365/2012-07-31
I hope you'll be able to let me know how things go with your husband's care. I will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers.
@aspada
Lyn, your image does stand by itself... no explanations necessary here. It's lovely.
