These lyrics are from 'On My Own', sung by Eponine and one of the signature songs of the musical 'Les Miserables'. This is one of the first songs I ever learnt to sing and so has special sentimental value. The lyrics are just gorgeous and incredibly moving, and whilst i'd have loved to put the whole song I just decided on these select few. If you haven't heard the song, have a listen!
Today was pretty drizzly, but as evening came the rain stopped and the way the light hit the water on the road was stunning. A neighbour's cat happened to be walking across the middle (that's the black blob; it's not too obvious that she's a cat!) and reminded me of the moment in a film where someone walks home in the rain, missing someone.
