After attempting this shot last night and being underwhelmed by the results, I realised I should have been exposing for longer (why I'd forgotten that I don't know...).
Also I went earlier before it was fully dark this time, to catch some variation in the sky rather than pitch black. I posted a B&W shot of trails on the other side of this bridge last year, with the cool treeline in silhouette, but I missed my window for that tonight so I stayed on this side and caught the clouds instead.
Ok so light trails are out of my system for now, at least until I scope out some new locations...
*Thanks everyone for the comments, fav's & follows, in case I don't get around to responding to each one individually*
Based in Dublin, Ireland, started on...
@rjb71 I love doing these shots, but I think I've exhausted this particular location now, I'm keen to find a roundabout with a good vantage point, I'd imagine that would look pretty cool :)
@sgregory Thanks for the follow back :) I've been doing flash of red February, hence all the black and white, but I'm enjoying it so much I reckon I'll do a lot more of it in future.
Well, I think this is superb! I haven't attempted light trails yet, I desperately want to, but the truth is, once my bottom touches the sofa in the evening, I can't seem to prize it off! I must make an effort!
