Imagine my delight when, through a strange series of events that changed my normal travel time and travel pattern this morning, I got to see the blue trees just after being planted. This is an art installation to draw awareness to deforestation with several of these scattered through the region. The paint is water-soluble and will begin to fade with rain, which we'll have later today.

This is just an iPhone shot and I will upload a pic from my camera tonight. But I'm just giddy with my luck this morning.

I should add that the trees really are this blue...no curves adjustment in post.

@mstipe I know...right?!? Only in Seattle (well, maybe not.). Think how many trees they could have planted with that cash. Oh the irony.
