I watched this goose for a long time today, thinking he had one deformed leg. Then he put down his leg and it was perfectly fine and I realized it was just yoga time.
Too funny! I guess since the sympathy thing wasn't working for him...he just decided to go with the stress reduction exercises. Some times I think these animals twist us a little! Great shot!
@mama I agree Carolyn. Than you for the kind words. @bill_d@digitalrn Thank you Bill and Rick for the kind words
. @robv Thank you Robert. This makes sense. It was cold and windy.
Lovely...it's funny how ducks or birds do that. I guess calling it yoga is a funny way to look at it. I wonder what the reason is for them doing it though...now I must research the reason why!
@michellejoy thanks for your kind words Michelle
. @wac Wendy, I was able to get very close. He didn't care a bit. @molizard He was fat as could be. Thanks for the kind words. @qaisimonking He did get me. I felt foolish after he put his poor foot down.
@katrinacristy@alecio Thank you for the kind words. @redfl83 Thanks Carol. I'll remember that is a sleeping thing too. :-) @lehy Thanks Leena. Happy Sunday to you also. @miranda Thank you Miranda for your kind comments.
@isisweiss Robert Velten tells me it's to minimize heat loss through their feet. It is starting to get cold here. Now you don't have to look it up. :-)
he knows how to get extra bread doesn't he? That is funny! I actually saw a one legged one a while back, and kept feeding him bread. Now I wonder if he too had just tucked his leg up?!?!? sneaky, sneaky! This is an amazing photo! I love the details on the feathers, and the way he is kinda looking at you :-)
@kaleandkiara@halcyon49@deesdiscoveries thanks for your comments. I did feel a bit foolish afterwards, but I did enjoy watching him.
Dee, I bet you were fooled too...lol

thank you for your kind comments.
I remember thinking that about some seagulls at the beach and feeling sorry for one - gave him some chips ... realised he was just fine ;)
