This is not a new picture. No time today for pictures. This is a baby blue jay that sat in my blueberry bush all day. I took a few hundred pictures and he just followed me with his head as I walked around. The parents stayed close, but left him to feed on blueberries. They weren't too concerned with me either, even though I was two feet from him.
@kaleandkiara@bribuccigrossi@girlie Thanks for the kind words. I really appreciate it. @digitalrn Rick, I use my photos for painting references and this is the way I will paint this picture. I try them out to see how they might look painted.
Love this!! He's so pretty and I like the way his tail is coming out of the frame. We get jays at our feeders for probably a week out of the year. I need to figure out how to make them stay
M. this is a great shot and I love the way you framed it. Wouldn't it be cool if you could really make it look like this in a real frame. I admire this because it is not easy to get a great close up - at least for me at this time.
@jonna@molizard Thank you for the kind words. This was the first try at bringing it out of the frame. I do this is painting and try it out on photos first.

What a lovely picture and a lovely bird. The framing is very special and adds to beauty of the whole impression.
@pscott @timandelke I was really lucky. It was a baby bluejay that didn't have the sense to be afraid. He sat in my blueberry bush for hours and I got a hundred shots.
