@mtol Maria, I do have a zoo nearby and a gift of a season pass :-). thank you for your kind words. @kerristephens@eringoodman@3littleks@kathyd@pinktornado39@timandelke Thanks everyone for your kind words. They really are appreciated. @pfmandeville I can never think of movie titles. But you're right.
Unfortunately, they are in a zoo. But I certainly love seeing them. Thanks for the look and kind words.
@cookie123 Bernadette, that's exactly what I thought. They don't have them outdoors very long each day in the winter. But he wasn't going to freeze his butt off. She didn't seem to mind a bit.
@geertje Geertjie, it didn't seem to hurt her one bit. She didn't mind and he didn't sit there long. He just didn't want a cold seat. Thanks for looking.
Gosh! this is an amazing shot! I have a photo I took awhile ago that I will have to post to show you. It was a lioness laying on a rock and when you look at the info board (the ones that they have to describe the animals in the pen) it is in the same exact position as the one in picture shown on the board. It was horribly taken because it was behind dirty glass since it has just recently rained but still to funny! you did great! I love his mane and the look.
Back at the zoo. You were rewarded this time. She seems perfectly content. Maybe he was warming her. Great shot. My bird shots were not so great but thank you for saying so. Tomorrow will be the charm.
@wac Wendy, I really think they should just set a bed up for me at the zoo. I think he didn't want to get a cold butt, so he sat on her. She didn't even seem to mind. I look forward to your shot tomorrow. :-)
hahah this just cracks me up!!! the one sleeping just doesnt even care. and the one sitting on his brother is just hilarious!! the look on his face ahaha
Excellent capture of these magnificent animals. I must admit I laughed outloud when I read your title and then looked at the expression on their faces! :) Great job margaret!
@palusami Tanya, I think he's warming his butt. She didn't mind a bit. In the next shot I took, you can see her reaction to him a few minutes later.
They are brother and sister and do a lot of arguing.
I added this to my favorites. I love the caption as that is something my youngest son always said about his older brother who was born with spina bifida. He sometimes carried him for me and he would say, "He ain't heavy, he's my brother."
How hilarious! ...and those critters weigh a tonne! I learned all about them at the big cat park in Cave Junction near the CA/OR border. I highly recommend that place if you're ever out that way!
