He looks a little nervous...perhaps the first time on a steep incline. His tummy is most definitely growling though! You capture the best squirrel moments!
Nice .. you have a black one.. the only ones around here are the grey and Gawd forbid the red flying squirrels.. they cause so much damage.... love his pose... he looks a bit p.o.'d at ya Maggs... nice shot!!!
@luvshorses Carol, we don't have the flying squirrels here. He was a bit p.o.'d because I dared to stand and look at him. :-) Or maybe it was the ton of pictures I took.
He's so cute! We don't have the black ones. Just the grey with reddish trim, and some tiny red flying squirrels. You seem to have a few varieties. Lucky!
Love the black squirrels - he looks wonderful. As always, great capture - and you have wonderful subjects! :) And Maggie, I really appreciate your nice comments too - thank you! ;)
You got a black squirrel! That isn't easy. Well done. And, thats great about the flowers. With photos I am always trying to do things out of my comfort zone. It is the only way!
@sarahimmel Sarah, this is a black squirrel. It has quite a bit of brown in it now. In the winter, all black. They really are beautiful, but more shy than the other types.
Handsome little beast, we only have the native Gray Squirrel in the mountains and introduced Fox Squirrel in the valley areas. Quite striking and cute of course!
Sooooo cute!!
