I watched a civil war reenactment. These people are very dedicated to showing the history. The only thing I think might have helped their demonstration is a good looking lion or bird. :-)
I'm watching Melissa and Robin for hints on these type of shots. I have some learning to do.
First....love your title, very funny. Second i think you did a great job with the photo and find your remark about needing some sort of animal very amusing also:)
I thought the same as @eringoodman since my hubby does some re-enacting and spends a lot of time online scouring for authentic or authentic-looking items.. Still a great shot. Love the interaction.
You captured their conversation very well. I think they need to work on their costumes a bit, though. I don't think ladies parasols looked like that modern blue umbrella. LOL! Maybe the gal on the right should have been holding a dead rabbit ...."I sent my husband out for dinner and all he brought be back was one lousy rabbit!"
Nice Magz.. you provided a great capture for those listings under it.. asking what do you think they are saying to each other.. you caught their body language and their expressions beautifully!!!
great fun to watch. I don't think they could have an 'authentic' umbrella as the first umbrella shop wasn't opened ubtil the mid 1800s, so can't blame them for not wanting to get soaked.
Museums at times have these reenactmens always interesting to see. love the old custums they are wearing. great picture. the one on the left is listening with an astounding epression on here face and he talker comes good across with her hand gesture. I almost feel I know what they are saying.
@momoflilly This is way outside my comfort zone. I have been looking at so many great shots from everyone on here that seems to take people shots with ease. I don't have that skill, but I'm working on it.
I have attended this events with my sons when they were younger. Of course, we didn't spend much time looking at the ladies. It seems there was always someone with a huge whip, or a canon going off, or knives to look at. You get the idea. I love this series for the history and those outfits. Well done.
I did had a frind who loves to play? civilwar batlles . He did.
