The baby. by maggie2

The baby.

This baby robin is learning to fly in my yard. Today's lesson was how to avoid an owl. The owl was chasing the baby. Three adult robins chased the owl off. I didn't get a picture of the owl, or the chase. It was over in seconds. Exciting while it lasted and the baby is fine.
Awwwww, so sweet, and nice close up

Incredible, super-fantastic close-up Maggie!!! I love Robins; glad he and the others who came to his aid are all unharmed. (My, what an exciting thing to see. :-)) I love how you can see just a tuft left of his "baby feathers", and the tiny white dot in his large, dark eye. Ever so well done Maggie. All my best, Les xx

Nature is amazing. I'm surprised the adults were able to chase the owl away. Without them he would have been helpless. It is an adorable pictuare.
