Pileated woodpecker.

These guys are usually so shy, but he came to my feeder. I was thrilled. I took this through the window as I knew if I walked outside, he would be gone.

Saw this on FB and came here to fav. Excellent capture of the elusive pileated woodpecker .... one on my bucket list! I hear them all the time and the ONE time I actually saw one in the perfect spot, I didn't have my camera with me.
