Going nowhere.

And hasn't gone anywhere for a long time, it looks like! It looks too big to go on a trailer and is a fair way from the sea so it has to have a story!
Sitting in a field of weeds not far from us!
Great shot Maggie. Love the B&W treatment

Love it as well, great bw.

Grounded! But it's a great find for photo ops!! Great capture, Maggiemae and wonderful in b&w!

Wow! Perhaps someone was going to work on her and something prevented them from starting the task. Great capture, Maggiemae!

Nothing much sadder than a landlocked boat! Nice shot.

Its a miniature scale of noahs ark!! its waiting for the "mini" flood ;)

Great subject for B&W. I'd love to know it's story! it's a lovely old boat.

Cool shot--wouldn't you love to know the story ; ) So great that you shot it in b&w. (Do you shoot it in b&w or use an editing program to do that?
posted May 12th, 2012
@yonnie I could have shot it in black and white from the camera, but wanted to see it in color to compare! My editing program is so fast, limited, but fast!

@maggiemae Thanks so much. I just wondered what other people did.

I think there is one of these in every town. The dream gone to ruin! Put your detective skills to work and I'm sure you will fid out the back story!

I expect every one has a dream, @kamb to go to sea and sail to new shores or just fish! Not me, done that -both! Too many storms and nightmarish voyages!

@jimboreid @karenann @sheg The colour version was quite good - lots of rust and rotting wood, but the B&W shows the shadows more!

@maggiemae I love it. we have a boat here in a field thats been here since I was in highschool.

My very first reaction when I saw this was "The African Queen!" I know it's not exactly the type of boat but the colorization triggered that memory! I Love This Picture!

but somewhere......nice photo in two colours.......Maggiemaae!!!!!

Nice capture! I like the B & W, but I am curious to see the color version.

@thendrix58 Very similar, @thendrix58 but that one was a steam boat. Glad you like it!

Great Capture Maggie. Maybe someone is waiting for a flood and a quick get away.

@nikkic I have no idea of how to find the story except knock on the door of the house next door and I would be too nervous to do that! Make up the storys! I like the one about Noah's ark except for the rain! Humphrey Bogart might like this one too! What about a children's playhouse and overnight camp!

@myautofocuslife Do you feel unloved, bolstered up in case you fall over, and needing a face lift!? I don't think so, Livia!

Great shot... looks good in B & W - you could just ask in general conversation, say at your corner shop or newsagent...does anyone know the story of ....!!

Grounded! Maybe it's just a tree shadow but it looks like the shadow of a person looking back at you behind the second cabin! I may be seeing things...

Wow, what a neat find! It look fabulous in b&w.
posted May 12th, 2012
