Clematis undressed by maggiemae

Clematis undressed

There were quite a few of these on the fence and I realised that all the petals had gone from them in the strong winds of yesterday! However the central stem stays strong.

An update on the writing of the journal: I have done 4583 words and 15 pages so far. She has sailed around Australia and has just visited Ceylon ( lots of "black natives" there! Now in Arabia somewhere and then about to visit Tutankhamun's tomb which was opened in 1923, only 6 years before!
great shot, i love that the ones in the background still have some petals for a nice color effect in the pic!
