Spotted on a skyline, this painter daubing her oils brush and trying to create her version of the scene in front of her, the Harbour Bridge. I looked at her work, not world class but good.
Above here was the Time Ball which was supposed to go up to the top of the tower and fall at precisely 1pm. It did not (!) so I presume all the ships in the harbour no longer know the time!
Three good thing:
1' @happypat is back from her trip!
2.@yonnie has a cast on her wrist!
3. Finally confirmed all our expenses were paid for! Good on yer, Polaris!
Wonderful shot, Maggiemae. Would love to see her painting. Something I have always wanted to be good at and so fascinating to me. Love your three good things.
Beautiful composition with the upper part totally free, She will be world class since she is brave and out there practice in front of your critical eyes.
Oh thank you so much maggiemae & I have missed all your lovely pictures too. Have just been catching up on your other album & thought your last two ladies needed an easel & paintbrushes & here they are!!
Must check back to see who @yonnie is...have missed all the gossip!!
Lovely silhouette and skyline, Maggiemae. Gives a fine impression of the lonely artist at work. Thank you for all of your kind comments. Am now trying to catch up on any I have missed.
what a fantastic scene maggiemae. great capture. lynn mentioned the chair. i'd like to see it cropped out so that your full attention is on the artist. such a great thing to stumble upon. wonderful shot.
Wonderful, Maggiemae! I would think that the artist, painting, would feel "in the zone, calm and relaxed" doing that, as I do behind a camera out in nature.
long before i got interested in photography, i had this picture on my head. who knew it was supposed to be your pic and not mine. hahaha! most excellent capture, maggiemae!
I have to Fav this image...it's beautiful, but also a memory stirrer for me. My father could often be found out like this while painting a scene which could possibly take weeks or months. Villages would get used to seeing him in the same spot, stop by for a chat, or just to see the progress of the work.
I think I would have cropped out the bench though. Did you try it like that?
@gailmmeek several friends suggested cropping out the bench! I think it would have been better with more bench showing but thought it just gave a hint on the fact it was a lovely hill to be sitting on there as well as the artist!
