Soft and simple

I was thinking about a friend's (Aleksandra - @aleksandra -) post about art and a man's soul... this is the quote she posted: "Art is the window to man's soul. Without it, he would never be able to see beyond his immediate world; nor could the world see the man within" Hope you don't mind me repeating this, Aleksandra!

I think it is so true and observed that the camera speaks the truth - until - the 365 crew get going! I like to see what I can create with editing features that appeals to me. I took this shot out of the window at our lovely yellow rhododendrons trying to get yellow bokeh but failed - again! Its a huge bush of flowers but this spray was standing out in the morning sun!

Three good things.
1. John has dug manure into a corner of our raised garden to be ready for the rhubarb cuttings from our main plant.
2. Almost finished the accounts for the GST return.
3. Love my camera but love the editing features available.
It looks like a crown !

Lovely shot. Wish I could get better at editing and effects. So many sites online to do it, too!

They are so pretty . Your choice of light highlights the composition very well too!

Lovely. I love editing as well. I can spend hours playing around with photos. I find it very therapeutic and relaxing.

@paula1 it's also very dangerous, Paula! You puddle around and then suddenly realise 2 hours have gone by and you haven't done anything you intended to do!

I too love the editing bit maggiemae & now I am hopefully going to enjoy it even more as Jack has put me on Light box & written instructions how to do it.....means I can shoot in RAW, well that is the general idea , i haven't tried it yet!! That will be fun!!!
A very perceptive quote maggie but editing programmes challenge that big time!!
Love the flowers...was going to put the name then & as it is 4.30am I couldn't be bothered to check spelling!! Up with my hip pain which I now believe to be sciatica. One hour later & I am still here !!

Check out Ribbet's "bokeh" effect- it comes in handy when you want some but can't seem to get the camera to produce it. (o: I do love editing too- but try to keep myself on a healthy diet of it. But WWYD 90 is up so I'll be in editing heaven with that!
August 22nd, 2013
@olivetreeann Picmonkey's got that feature too but I really want to do it with my camera - still trying - no result today!
August 22nd, 2013
i think with the fuji, you need to keep the main subject farther away from the would-be source of the bokeh. in any case, the flowers are nice, even without bokeh!
