Camelia by maggiemae

Camelia

"The sweet scented flowers of pink look so lovely
While bathed now in sunlight and sprinkled with dew,
As gently the weep silver tears of emotion
Which fall to the ground as the skies turn to blue.
So still,
The songs of the dawn,
Camelia shines
As a new day is born."

Andrew Blakemore

Three good things:
1. I might be able to mow the lawn today - the first of the season
2. Attempting to grow capsicums from seed.
3. I'm doing the 2 days a week of only 600 cals in an attempt to lose extra weight - I refuse to weigh myself.
Love your pov and framing. Gorgeous flower, friend!

August 26th, 2013
Love the presentation and the poem by Andrew Blakemore. Well done, Maggiemae!
August 26th, 2013
@tremerryn thanks for that - extremely interesting! It follows my own theory about the body getting used to dealing with very high amounts or low amounts of food. You have to confuse it!

I weigh myself every morning after my shower and it can be very uplifting when you start to loose weight. I lost 20kg and kept it off for 2.5 years so far and now there are somethings I just won't touch such as chips as I know if I eat one, I will eat more. !! Very pretty - my dad's fav flower.

August 27th, 2013
@orangecrush I agree, Jerry - if you are hungry the body has to find the source of energy from some where other than food!
August 27th, 2013

A beautiful flower - wish I could smell it too! I've been trying the 5/2 diet (500 cals x2 a week) for just over a month, and am pleased to say it's working. Fortunately I don't need to lose much weight, but I don't this diet difficult.
August 27th, 2013
So pretty, that frame really works well. Good luck with the diet, it sounds interesting..... I refuse to weigh myself too, but all my clothes feel tight so I know there is an extra 9/10lbs floating around my stomach and hips!!

Sounds like a good idea not to weigh yourself - I've read people get better results when they just go by how comfortable they feel. Good luck with the diet.
August 27th, 2013
@dulciknit that's the idea, Alison - when I can bend down without banging into my stomach!
