I have a headache - had them for years - they come and go. I amused myself by thinking what a headache should look like and by the time I had finished, the headache had gone!
Three Good things:
1. I didn't have to take pills which I hate doing
2. Life has returned to normal
3. Although my 100's of photos of water crowns didn't turn out focused, I will not bow down in front of adversity!
Now this is what I call a creative shot. Way to go, Maggiemae. My husband never gets headaches and he says it's because he doesn't have enough brains!!!! (yeah, right ; ) And cool that Mr. Man is in the shot, although I think Yolanda probably gives him a headache ; ) Fav for your creativity. And I love #3--I was thinking today how you always try new things and you NEVER give up.
And here i thought at first that you were wearing a star in your hair. When I knew it was about a headache, I could see that this is an appropriate way to depict it. If the headaches are migraines, you might see stars before the headache anyway. Glad you managed to get rid of it, hope it's a long time before the next one.
You poor thing. Colin gets migraines and I really sympathise with migraines/headaches. Sometimes the tablets can make you feel even worse. Hope you are better now... keep up the water crown shots (still on my to-do list to try)
i used to get really bad migraines that sidelined me for days. when i became vegetarian the migraines went away but sometimes i still do get the precursors especially when there's an impending storm. but they do dissipate when i drink a lot of water. you are so clever with your depiction. i have a different idea though. and good for your for not giving up on that water crown. i saw the result and i like it!
I used to get them too! Getting processed sugar mostly out of my diet really has helped with that. I hardly get them at all now- but like Vikki sometimes a weather change can threaten to bring one on- or too much time on the computer and eye strain! Glad to hear yours passed on by. This shot definitely depicts what it's like to have a migraine!
Oh, Maggie, I just hate that you suffer with headaches. I can only imagine how debilitating they must be. You have done a marvelous job with your interpretation in this photo. And I'm so glad the headache disappeared while you were working on the editing! Be well!
@peggysirk Nice of you to show your care, Peggy! I've had them for 5 years now and have learnt to live with them. All the tests done and they aren't as bad or frequent now.
A brilliant image for a pesky headache whic I happen to have this morning...not a a bad one & I haven't taken anything for it but I would think a migraine type would look exactly like that.
That's a great way of communicating what a headache feels like.
There is a visualisation exercise to alleviate pain that involves concentrating on it and giving it a colour, size and shape and you keep asking yourself what it looks like until your mental image of it fades, hopefully taking the pain away as you go. I think you've hit upon the photography version of the exercise. I find this very interesting.
Glad to hear it worked for you.
