I didn't take a picture all day waiting for an opportunity to arrive and now at nearly 9pm I saw an picture appear and just as quickly disappear. There was the circle of the sun sinking behind the cloud. Then it had gone!
Three good things:
1. It wasn't far to zip outside with my tripod.
2. I wondered if John was actually listening so did my usual adding nonsense in the same tone -I added tap dancing blue elephants with pink ribbons around their ears....... and no response!
3. I'm getting deaf too!
there is a sense of quiet solace in this shot. something i've been wishing i could take but we're still in the city and i'm not allowed to take my camera along for safety. beautiful composition, i like it.
Maggie -you do make me laugh with your three good things !! But what a lovely image even if you just missed the circle of the sun --these things do happen so fast !!
That is indeed a good thing worth waiting for........John sounds like Harry...selective hearing but then I am a bit deaf too!!! Love that soft foliage.
Love this - it looks like a Japanese silk print. I always love your three things - todays really made me laugh - love the elephants tap dancing!! Selective hearing I think!! Fav!!
What a wonderful shot, Maggiemae. FAV I have to remember to have my tripod with me. Hubby got me a small one to carry and it sure makes a big difference in clarity.

What a sense of warmth and peace.
I have never had great hearing and it is really starting to get annoying. So often I have to ask someone to repeat themselves ; )
