You're right maggiemae the total black background & the perfect yellow flower in the centre is very striking! The shiny edge of water drops which I thought was rain give a lovely lift to the whole picture.
you make great shadows. it's good to challenge oneself. best kind there is. i do that with my own weekly themes, whatever gets ij my head. although i love the "get pushed" challenge because of the surprise aspect. i know you don't like being told what to do. :-)
It is indeed lovely seen against black - the rain droplets glistening are so pretty. (Shoot towards the light after sundown or before sunrise for easy silhouettes
@snaphappi Thanks Maggie! Not raindrops but this flower was floating in a pan of water! I have attempted a silhouette but should wait for those times as you say!
@windridge I should have said in the explanation that the flower was actually floating in a pan of water and I had a torch shining on to it to create this shadow! Thanks Susan!
I really like how this little flower looks like an actress on stage in the spotlight! The shadow and appearance of a drop keep our eye moving around the image to appreciate all the elements you have captured so well! A really terrific compositon Maggiemae!
