Indian encounter by maggiemae

Indian encounter

I was out photographing the big Indian bikes in St Paul, Minnesota and this guy with his two westies came along. I liked the colours in this big transport truck along with a dog shot.

Three good things;
1. In spite of getting totally lost, we found a person in a Taco shop that knew where to go.
2. John manoeuvred his way very competently through miles of spaghetti junctions in this huge city.
3. I wish I was in the country again.
Looks like Jay Leno with that chin. Love westies. I had one growing up. Fun candid.

Lovely colourful shot!! Plus two westies - Finlay would love to meet them!! I have always thought the idea of driving through America sounded great but I think I am put off by some of your stories!! Such a scaredy cat!! Well done John for getting through all those spagetti junctions!!

@amandal Yes, he did have a 'chin' but much younger than Jay Leno.

That's a really interesting shot! You've got everything in it including a passing conversation - it looks like the guy in blue is saying something to the dog owner.

What a colorful shot, Maggiemae. Cool motorcycle and dogs. Love the one with its tongue sticking out. John sounds like my husband being able to get around somehow. I love the country too. Nice to have some of it close by where we live.

@pamknowler The idea of a road trip is good but there are so many roads and they are all busy and intersect and go off in different directions! In the good old days it would have been better!

@jennywren As you say, Jan, two interests - depends on whether you like bikes or dogs - probably not both!

I like the interaction between the two guys and all the colors on the truck. You will find that there is a lot of construction everywhere. I'll probably get in trouble for saying this, but I think the unions actually slow things up just for job security. Hopefully you won't encounter too much but, it seems there's even more in the summer months than any other time of the year!
