Island Yoga by maggiemae

Island Yoga

Thanks to @jantan, Jan - who gave us the info to get to this small island off the coast from Singapore we were able to go for a short visit. It is called Pulau Ubin and is an interesting place to visit - poor but full of history. It was far too hot to do too much and we decided to take the bum boat back. This was one of the drivers sitting opposite from us.

Three good things:
1. On the plane back to Christchurch, we amused ourselves with taking photos of rubbish and describing them as abstract.
2. Squashed once more in a seat for 10 hours next to a large dark fellow whose elbows dug into my side but I was able to help him with some things.
3. Some good movies - The Stag was one - Irish comedy and then 'The Railway Men" which was very good.
nice processing in this shot

I like your processing. Your flight seems quite uncomfortbale

I am impressed he could get his legs up there! Hope his feet didn't pong in that heat!
I like the edit....always gives a strong image ....... You are home again...must feel like months since you were home......bet the cat was pleased to see you....perhaps you haven't had time to pick her up yet!
Just in time for your general election!

Great shot, Maggie. Cool processing. Is he smiling or grimacing?

Love the processing. I think you must have met the man who sat next to me from San Francisco to Auckland! Luckily he didn't transfer to the Christchurch flight!
September 20th, 2014
@ceilidh So you are in Auckland or was that some time ago? We also played footsie - his feet came into my side of the alloted space!

Great catch of that flexibility !

Glad you got to see Ubin. A bit of a contrast to the rest of S'pore isn't it? We once got very lost in middle of the rainforest there when mountain biking. That was a bit worrying.

@jantan I took some photos but there was a bit too much untidiness around. Fascinating history. I really enjoyed the bumboat ride too!
September 20th, 2014
haha - I like the untidiness after the rest of Singapore

Neat processing on this. Glad you survived the over-large passenger squeezed in next to you.

@maggiemae I am sorry and have a feeling that I said the wrong thing. I mean it is like one is sitting there with people in your photos like this. I hope you are doing ok being at home as you lost someone dear to you while you were gone. Thoughts are with you.

@darsphotos not at ALL, Darlene - I was really being facetious - smack on the wrist Maggie! Shouldn't do that!
September 22nd, 2014
Really love the processing you use. Great shot also.
September 22nd, 2014
That looks such an uncomfortable pose, I'd never be able to do that!
