Are we expected to eat this? by maggiemae

Are we expected to eat this?

Now I'm home I don't have the luxury of exotic places and people to photograph so have to really think about something. Will do flowers when I am really stuck. Lambs are around so here are two.

Three good things:
1. John waited till he got home before he got sick.
2. A lot of dead pot plants but will enjoy planning new ones.
3. Good to get out on my bike again even if I just about fell over taking this photo! And I had eggs in my cargo hold!
Flowers will do. I love these lambs by the lane. Very cute! Great processing too!

Lambs, to me, are totally exotic! And these two are really cute. I like your choice of processing to bring out so much of the details.

Oh dear that was unfortunate ...."shouldn't put all your eggs in one basket ha ha ! Lovely fence posts, they are so red.....quite fascinated by that hole in the road...though it was just us who had potholes!

What a lovely view. Sorry about the fall .... Did the eggs break ?

@lesip The front wheel of my bike twisted around and reversed itself and my camera just about fell out of its bag! The camera came first then I untwisted the handlebars of the bike hoping nobody would come and see if I was alright! Eggs remained whole!

Such cute little lambs. Interesting processing - what program are you using?
September 22nd, 2014
@kwiksilver I use mostly picmonkey or photomatix Essentials. Not up to Photoshop or Lightroom!

FAV, I love your little lambs.

Wonderful photo and title. I am glad you did not topple over when you had eggs in your bike bag.

How nice to be home and love your photo, Maggiemae. You make me laugh as you make one see what you are doing too, riding your bike and just about lost your eggs. It is nice to be away from home for sure for all the photo ops. You can go back and use some that you took to show more of your travels. I would not mind and bet you have lots that you took but did not post. I love your processing. Are you using HDR or processing after your photo?

@darsphotos My camera has an option to take 3 photos at differing light exposures and then I process them by layering them together. You must be a good typist to be able to comment so well!

@maggiemae How fun to have an option like that in your camera. I love the effect of what you are able to do. I can move along pretty fast as I type emails to friends, took classes over the years and my job required typing so have been doing this for a long time and love it. You are very sweet to comment about it.

@eyesmile Actually we have to go up to Auckland in the next month but will only be away a few days - not 54 like last time!

Lambs are always worth watching. Love the colour of the waratahs, the red really stands out.

two cuties

Lambs by the roadside are a good choice. For me it is somewhat exotic so remember that just because it is normal for you others don't always have the same opportunities.

The lambs are beautiful. Love the way your processing brings out the textures, especially in the grass. Hope John feels better soon.

The red fence posts are quite exotic.

@yaorenliu Did you know they are called waratahs....? Get kind of rusty but very strong!

@tristansmum thanks Stephanie - it has come to a Doctors visit, I'm afraid but will be all OK in a few days with antibiotics!

I really like the way this looks, and I read you took 3 shots and merged them, did you use photomatix? I have recently come across a video on that software and it looks quite interesting, do you recommend it. I, like you, don't feel up to Photoshop, but I do use Lightroom, not as scary as you might think and a 30 day free trial if you feel like giving it a go?
