Being a Marshal on this rally I was able to be in this position when the cars came past. At the same time there was a small thunderstorm passing over in the background. I took tons of photographs but in the end it was just a lot of fast cars. My tries at panning didn't work.
Three good things:
1 A great day with a picnic away up here on the hills
2. Our Lion's team got paid for being marshals and a heap of money went into the kitty.
3. We had to tie all the gates on our section of the road including a very old and ramshackle one covered in gorse!
Great shot and processing, Maggie. You can really sense the movement, and I like the sky. It looks stormy and as though the rain is coming down--especially from those big background clouds.
@prttblues It is an HDR process, Bev- my camera will take 3 photos with differences in light or WB then I put them together to make something like this!
