came down in hard streaks but wasn't the severe thunderstorm that had been predicted.
Three Good things:
1. Put a hat on, made some nibbles and drinks for the running of the Melbourne Cup, a famous horse race! We also had bets and if I won, then I would win a new roof for my greenhouse!
2. Lots of fun in our own lounge watching TV.
3. I didn't win but neither did John so I took my hat off! The good thing was that we didn't pay anything!
A moody shot - could it be a murder mystery ? Despite the weather it seems you and John had a great day at home with no entrance fee to the Melbourne Cup and you kept dry !!
Lovely in black & white - suits the grey weather -looks as though the sun trying to shine. We had brief but torrential rain and the thunder made things rattle on the shelves. - Marty went to pieces of course - practising for a big sooky dog display tonight I guess ... I give him a treat each time a cracker goes off loudly to try an persuade hin that it is a good thing. It gets to a point whre he sits and begs each time there is a loud noise and then I'm not sure who is training who.
Is this your driveway? If so, I love your gate!! This actually reminds me of a children's book we had when the boys were growing up "The Garden of Abdul Gazazi" and I can't remember the author/illustrator off hand- but- his drawings had this kind of feel to it. Great shot!
@summerfield I have never asked John to sit or stand for a portrait. Think I need to learn a lot more about lighting first. Thanks for all your nice comments, Vikki!
