Practice

Me and my ukelele practicing for a number of future gigs.

Three good things:
1. The siege in Sydney has ended.
2. Mr Blythe the blackbird came to the door and asked for more.
3. A famous film producer came for tea.
Wonderful low key selfie maggiemae.......the focus on your hand & ukulele is spot on!
3# good thing sounds intriguing!

Neat focus, Maggiemae. I want to hear you play. You play this and piano, yes? Love the ukelele:).
December 15th, 2014
I play anything in sight, Amanda @amandal Got an irish whistle, a bamboo flute, an harmonica and of course, the fool!
December 15th, 2014
Nice selfie with great focus on the guitar.
December 15th, 2014
Good for you. I can play piano by ear a little and can sing. But no real instruments. Really want to learn guitar. I have one and a drum set. I should learn both.
December 15th, 2014
Love the selected focus on the ukulele and the soft lighting on yourself.
December 15th, 2014
Great selfie. You are lucky that you know how to play instruments.
December 15th, 2014
Lovely soft shot of you. As Anazad says you are lucky that you know how to play instruments
December 15th, 2014
@kelly2 @anazad511 Ana and Irene - I didn't say I played them well!
December 15th, 2014
I love the mood in this picture. I'm glad the siege has ended, too!
December 15th, 2014

December 15th, 2014
Great selfie :)
December 15th, 2014
Sounds exciting. Love the ukulele
December 15th, 2014
Love your low key approach. A bit low key with number three as well - Speilberg for tea?!
December 15th, 2014
An interesting effect on your selfie, with a bit of blur going on.
December 15th, 2014
Lovely selfie with great light and selective focus.
December 15th, 2014
@judithg Nope, I think TV1 would be there for tea too if that was the case!
December 15th, 2014
@busylady My life passes in a blur, Judith!
December 15th, 2014
@happypat Underexposure is better Pat, than overexposure - particularly when you have very little clothes on! Not that I do!
December 15th, 2014
I really like the focus on your hands and ukelele. Really nice treatment.
December 15th, 2014
You ROCK, lady! ;)
December 15th, 2014
@maggiemae had to have another look then to check you out but it's ok, you are decent!
December 15th, 2014
@happypat Yup! Giggle giggle!
December 15th, 2014
Oh how neat, Maggiemae!
December 15th, 2014
Great selfie!
December 16th, 2014

December 16th, 2014
Nice shot! You are blessed with talents!
December 16th, 2014
Awesome shot
December 16th, 2014
You look like you're playing with such passion. I love the feeling of this shot.
December 16th, 2014
Excellent lighting and focus. Mahalo for sharing. :)
December 16th, 2014
Wonderful and moody shot. And I love the hint of such interesting things (future gigs, famous film producer....) in your description.
December 16th, 2014
We can feel the artist training !
December 16th, 2014
These instrument looks so small, hard to play one string at a time. I hope you got a role from the producer.
December 16th, 2014
I bet your good at it. Any You Tube offerings we could hear? :-)
December 16th, 2014
Great selfie, like how you have focused on the instrument.
December 16th, 2014
Great shot. love the way you've managed to get the focus on your hand and the centre of the ukulele. Also pleased to see you have got sufficient clothes on!!
December 16th, 2014
@congaree Thanks John, - there are some uTube videos but they are on a gig with the whole group and are rather good so I"m proud of being part of that group!
December 16th, 2014
@thistle You've been reading the above messages! There is no way I would play a ukelele in a bikini - the strings would probably break in protest!
December 16th, 2014
great low-key portrait, Maggiemae. You seem to be quite the artist and a musician. Love your comment on the bikini strings.
December 16th, 2014
A great selfie and being able to play the ukulele... wonder what you are playing.
December 16th, 2014
Lovely Selfie Maggie.
December 16th, 2014
Bev
Nice selfie, Maggie. So glad the siege is over! It's just awful that people were killed. Who was the film producer who came for a visit?
December 16th, 2014
Oh how I envy you. I would love to have musical talent but never got ant! Great shot
December 16th, 2014
@ceilidh Margaret, I don't have musical talent - I just like playing! I'm not very good at any of the instruments I play but what the heck!
December 16th, 2014
@prttblues Can't divulge that, I"m afraid, Bev in case all of NZ's media tries to find him and he is just travelling with his daughter.
December 16th, 2014
@tremerryn I'm just playing the chord C, Tremerryn! Goes with most songs!
December 16th, 2014
Cool selfie. It is exciting that you had a famous film producer for tea.
December 17th, 2014
Niiiice!!! If only we could hear it!
December 17th, 2014
Wonderful selfie, Magggiemae. I love the ukelele and most musical instruments.
December 17th, 2014
Love this low-key portrait - it makes you look very mysterious!
December 18th, 2014
Like the way your hands are poised on the ukulele and focus in them. Good low key selfie. Playing an instrument is such a great feeling
December 18th, 2014
Great shot! I used to play guitar- how fun would it have been for two distant distant cousins to meet and play a duet. But no more guitar with the rheumatoid arthritis ruining my fingers. )o: Love the processing too- and of course the 3 good things to keep us guessing who came to visit!
