The poppy's crown by maggiemae

The poppy's crown

A lovely poppy under the spotlight today which closed its petals against my camera.

Three good things;
1. It was so windy outside the poppy wouldn't stay still so it came inside.
2. Four different kinds of sausages from a butcher whose shop is down a side street.
3. Um......got to think....... probably good that I can think!
amazing detail!

Wow -- that's an amazing focus! Smart to bring it inside...and good outcome. Thanks for your visits and patience with me as I don't get to be online much for responding.

#number three does take some thinking about sometimes!
This poppy is so rich &.......wait for it, my favourite word....sumptuous!....just so rich & beautiful. Great details too from your fantastic macro shot.
Are you blind testing the sausage....we did once when Anthony came home....the wild boar one won!

@happypat Great word, Pat - sumptuous - sounds a bit like a feast! Never thought of testing sausages like this - sounds like fun especially with cider! I'm looking forward to the pork and apple.

Love the rich colour of this poppy - I've not seen this variety in Europe. I am a great sausage fan so four different types sounds a real treat.
