On one side of the wharf the boats lie at anchor in sparkling and still water. On the other, the sea rolls in with thunderous waves, swirling up on to a rough beach and dragging back with a hiss of rolling stones. The beaches are like this for miles up the northern coast.
Three good things:
1.A crusty ciabetta, warm from the oven was purchased at the Farmer’s Market on this Sunday.
2. Greengages coming into the fruit scene.
3. Cricket???The only good thing about that is that we were on a world stage!
Sorry about the cricket ...I skped NZ very early this morning & Anthony was watching the cricket......never mind your team fared better than ours this summer! A wild sea for sure....winter is rolling in!
Great capture of a rough sea , I can just imagine the swish of the waves on the sand ! Love he raw darkness in your edit which adds to the turmoil of the sea !
Let's not mention the cricket. The one good thing was that today was the last of my early (3 or 5am) wake-up calls! Bad luck, NZ - you did so well through the stages. I was rooting for you.
Wow, what a fabulous shot and I love your processing too, Maggiemae. I am not familiar with the foods you speak of and have heard a little about cricket. I find it interesting to hear about foods and sports. FAV
Came by to check up on your lovely photos. Due to some recent health problems, I'm not posting for now but maybe will start with some older shots I have on file. FAV on this one. I love the tones and the scenery. Would make a beautiful wall hanging.
beautiful processing
