This tiny viola or pansy was popping its head up above the rough grass by the deck. I took this photo to remember it before the nasty man with the noisy machine came and lopped it off!
Three good things;
1. Amazement at the favs on my landscape shot! Thanks to all who took the time to visit!
2. Planning a couple of days away and the three 'C's are being charged! Camera, computer, cycle!
3. A late breakfast of eggs on muffins meant only two meals today. Didn't feel too full at any time.
@nickspicsnz I forgot to tell him and no, its all gone. I would have mowed around it - actually I should have uplifted it and planted it somewhere else!
I have only had two meals today too.......I got up really late! Mind younI have eaten enough for three meals! Such a very pretty blue flower. There aren't many pure blue flowers in the world......very precious! A few days awY sound good....take advantage of the last bit of summer! John is still up for his mowing then.....silly question!
Love this pansy and a shamei it was mown. We have a pathway between two hedges in our garden which has masses of daisies on it and we leave it unmown as long as we can because the daisies are lovely and not at all weeds in this place
@happypat It has been summery temps here - thats why its good to go up to the Lakes and enjoy. John is supposed to do 30mins gentle exercise every day but at the moment all he is doing is mowing - once a week! Its gentle because the mower is self-propelled!
How lovely to capture it. I wanted to seed my lawn with wildflowers and let it grow but the neighbours keep their lawns so trim they might have looked askance at my wild streak
We call these little pansies/violets "Johnny Jump-ups" because they pop up everywhere. Don't worry it will bloom again and when it does you can move it, or pick it. Pretty shot!
