Going to photograph a bumble bee then he shot past this hanging plant and I noticed the dandelion caught in a circle of dead seed head, here - not a spider’s twirl at all! But I fiddled with the colour in post processing - sorry about that!
Three good things

2. Having good friends to stay - talk with and listen to
3. Every day is a new day - the night doesn’t seem to matter then.
A fascinating photo maggiemae.....one single dandelion head is so complex when you look closely. Sounds like you aren't sleeping....hope John is on the mend! I am tired tonight, I slept really badly last night.
Nice shot. Love the colors and detail. How I miss posting photos here and hope tomorrow my photos and rest of my computer are on my sons computer that I have here forever I think.
@maggiemae@summerfield A damn nuisance when you are allowed to have a lie in & sleep all you want you can't! Such long nights although I have no idea what I would do if I hadn't had an iPad or loved reading!
@happypat I couldn't possible read at nights, Pat - it would wake John and he would never get back to sleep - so I lie there unmoving, silent and trying to think interesting thoughts! However, I'm not that tired in the morning but I do feel that if you don't get a good sleep you are more prone to pick up infection that is about!
@maggiemae@ceilidh well Harry sleeps for Britain so no worries there but I always get up if I can't sleep, come downstairs, make a cup of tea, eat cereal which is really a no no because your tummy gets used to food in the middle of the night.....look at my iPad first, do comments etc & then at las resort read my kindle. Mine is underlit so I can read in the dark ....I got it specifically for that purpose. I must say I very rarely feel tired next day....perhaps I lead a fairly sedentary life...I sometimes am worse at sleeping when I have had a really busy day.
The delicacy of the dandelion seed is wonderful. I have been saying this a lot recently but nature always amazes me by her infinite variety and this is a good example
@happypat I think a lot of women with a full and active mind have probs sleeping. The mind has to be silenced somehow - thats where counting sheep comes in - concentrating on one boring thing!

Sleep is always very illusive for me and I often read my Kindle or look at 365 in the middle of the night. I toss and turn and in the end have to get up - go downstairs and start again!! It's hard for you with John keeping you awake - have you not got a spare bed when it gets really tough? Just off to bed now after a horrible day at the hospital. Good results thank goodness!! I am hoping the drugs I had - which did not knock me out much to my disgust - will help me to have a good nights sleep tonight!!
