I know its a bit blurred but it is coloured bokeh and I’m so pleased to capture it! I was sitting at one end of the house and caught sight of the cut glass vase sitting on the coffee table with the hydrangeas in it! In my camera as I tried to focus, it went in and out of bokeh. The only way to get it was to focus on something really close then move the camera up to this vase then ‘click’!
Three good things;
1, Cat naps are good for everyone.
2. Cut the cat's claws as she got caught in our duvet and couldn’t get away. She also pulls the threads on our jerseys!
3. I cut the lawn outside our property and nearly every car that passed, they were looking at me! Did I have grey hair - no, - did I have a ball room dress on…no! Was I struggling ….yes! I fell over in the side garden trying to empty the catcher, bumped my head on the overhanging branches, couldn’t get up from an all fours position! Well, never mind!
@tigerdreamer Probably not other than the fact that people actually look at you here - don't ignore. Our cat mioeawows in protest but John growls at her and she lies on his lap on her back and I do the cutting!
Beautiful bokeh!! You have done it again with No3!! You do make me laugh!! Sorry not for falling down but your description of why the people were looking at you!! I think if you had been cutting the grass in your ballgown they would have done more than look - the cameras would have been out!! LOL!! fav!
@pixiemac Perhaps they thought this elderly woman should have a man to do this mowing! The 'man' was inside watching me fall over! I just fell on to a clump of lawn cuttings so my only injuries were green knees!
Very pretty!
1. Sometimes my cat naps turn into a short sleep!
2. We don't have a cat. Jeff is allergic to them and when I read things like this, I am glad I don't have to cut a pet's nails!
3. I fell through the screen door and broke the frame. Jeff ran into the living room and said, "What happened?" As if he couldn't tell! I understand!
Hehe, love your commentary - what a day it must have been. At least you came out of it unscratched. Beautifully taken shot. The bokeh is wonderful. Fav.
@thistle Hey Joyce - I wonder if I'm safe doing anything! Sometimes I feel like Frank Spencer in "Some Mother's do Have 'em" Do you know that old series of TV programs. The guy who played the unfortunate Frank was actually Michael Crawford who became a famous opera singer!
it's like s hugd sunlit kissed crystal. well spotted. isn't it amazing that at our (young) age the little things amaze us more? or maybe it's our photographic eyes are just attuned to the simpler beauty around us?
Well, this is lovely, but it was your description of you trying to mow the lawn that had me rolling on the floor, too! Sorry about that, but it was rather funny trying to imagine you struggling with that device! I am glad you are OK!
Sorry but I am giggling at no:3! that would be me! :)
Does three count as a good thing?
My cat is doing the same, only she won't let me cut them. We need to get into the groomer.
Didn't the 'man who was inside' grab a camera? ;-)
