Self made butterfly

Its nice to have supportive comments from friends - nobody else is going to say anything of course! Not unless you tell them and its really not that important!

I took a shot of a bush out the window (cleaned recently by yours truly) and there were some interesting results when I used a symmetry processing option. Some great designs!

Three good things:
1. There was nobody in the bush that I shot!
2. My “official photography’ came crashing down when the only photo that I took of the winner had his eyes closed! Stupid me - afterwards I knew what I should have done. Maybe get some credit as the local paper wanted it - maybe they have an app that opens the subject’s eyes?
3.I have a husband who wants to go to bed the same time as me and also doesn't want to get up at 6am as some of my friends husbands seem to do! Must be all ex farmers!
Just love this effect a fav

John is enjoying some good sleep! Unlike the ex farmers ...I am thinking of this one here who normally gets up at 6am but is currently lolling in bed until after nine o'clock......John probably stays awake all day with no little power nap during the day!
A very interesting edit......amazing what one can see in a bush!
I have learnt to put the continuous shutter thing on when taking faces!

@happypat Yes, that's what I didn't do, Pat! Got all panicky when asked to be a photographer and didn't count to 10 and check my settings.

What a great result, it's great fun playing with those kaleidoscope programmes too. (just realized I spelt program the old fashioned way - haven't done that for years, does this mean .....) I get up at 5 or 6 o'clock in the morning but don't remember being a farmer.

@snaphappi Crikey - thats a long day you will have! Isn't your bed warm and cuddly in the morning?
May 17th, 2015
It's my best time for thinking so it is when I try to write poetry.
May 17th, 2015
@snaphappi Could you do a poem and illustrate it with a photo for us?
May 17th, 2015
@maggiemae I daresay, sometimes I look at the photos on here and poems just spring to mind ... I'll post one later in the day.

This is so lovely and colourful, great patterns.

What a great result! I like this processing! I open my eyes each morning and its normally 6am! This comes from all those years of getting up at 6am to commute into London for my job in the bank in the City. Such a pain now when I want to have a sleep in!

Great processing Maggie but I am seriously impressed with how clean your windows must be to get this much detail!
May 18th, 2015
@thistle So am I, Joyce! I guess my camera wants to do its best and not implicate me in a dirty window situation!
