There lies an old home of a friend I know. She lives just down the road from me. She said recently: "Self sufficent in....peas potatoes parsnips corn carrots broccli tomatoes pumpkin garlic basil apples walnuts rhubarb yams currants raspberries stawberrys herbs honey wax fire wood, electricity lamb wool hand knitted sox and woven fabric....kiwifruit and more,,,,,living the dream stepped off the gravy train. Life is actually good.take time to find what is important to you. and family"
Three good things:
1. That I know somebody like her!
2. Getting to Page 200 in editing my mother's journal.
3. Not expecting 'favs' for a selfie! You all do make me feel so good!
Loving your editing lately maggiemae ....all your photos look so rich! I am disappointed with mine when they come back from the printers......have redone the show ones agai tonight. They look good on the camera but not so good printed off. I admire your friend immensely, such a wide variety of stuff she produces......go with the journal......will be so worth it!
@happypat I think when it comes to printing photos and especially if they are enlarged - they have to be No 1 in resolution - very high definition in order to come out the same. Tons and tons of megabytes!
She sounds as though she lives an idyllic life! :) I agree with her about many things, including hand-knitted socks. Her hedge seems to be a protection for her house, but not an excluding wall. Lovely rich tones in this shot, too.
