Thin vehicles only! by maggiemae

Thin vehicles only!

More hiding behind hedges and this one is a monster! I had to edge (hedge) my way through this gap! Sadie was beeping on all sides! - my (our) Mercedes, which brought some of us down to this property for a book club meeting.

Three good things:
1. As usual philosophical discussions with many different books! Poor education, poor upbringing, Russian rebels, you name it!
2. More wonderful rural scenes at this huge farm but the owners are downsizing - to 100 acres and a new home!
3. Must drink more water - remind my brain! Another story!
A truly spectacular hedge! I love that it has a tunnel through it to get to the house!

Fantastic hedge. This gap is about the size of some Cornish roads. We went down one once where I could stand with my arms outstretched and touch the hedge on either side! Hope the book club meeting was goof

@kelly2 Thanks Irene! The only thing that annoys me is that women talk over the top of everyone else!

I hope it was not Murder Mystery( book club ) today after venturing through that gap ( archway ) in that huge hedge !! -- A very mysterious setting !!

@beryl One might imagine one was caught, surrounded by these huge hedges but further down, the house opens on to a very wide and beautiful landscape! Might post a photo.

This looks like something from a fairy tale!! Wow such a huge hedge - looks like giants live there!! LOL!! You discussions sound interesting!! I need to drink more water especially when it's so hot and humid.

@maggiemae i just reread my comment and see I said goof instead of good. The f and d are too close. At the book club I go to we have to hear all the village gossip before we discuss the book and as I am a "blowin"", I've only been here 15years I don't know who all they are talking about but at least they listen to each other

What a dramatic shot. Sounds like there were some drama queens among the attendees.

@sophiaz Yes, Sophia - there are a couple but most of these ladies just like to talk!

@happypat Katrina, the lady whose hedge it is, said to me - you should wait until it is clipped! Imagine clipping this!

This is a huge hedge, must have taken years to grow and a lot of caring for.

Nice shot, Maggie. I'd be nervous about to drive through a narrow passage like that one. We have a similar passage here but over time, people had managed to create a pullover spots where you can go to the right to see around the bend for oncoming vehicles. I remember when I was younger in the car with my mum that she would beep before going into the passage. I have to drink lots of water, too. Doctors orders.

@prttblues Actually, Bev this opening just goes into a farm yard thank goodness. The entrances is for the house which is behind me here!
July 3rd, 2015
Love the sweeping driveway which leads to the opening. It creates a nice sense of mystery as to what may be behind the hedge. I am scared of book clubs.

Now that's a hedge all they need is a moat and a drawbridge...great shot
July 3rd, 2015
What an amazing hedge but what a job trimming it! Maggie, the booklover in me just has to ask what book you discussed. It's a lovely shot
