This has been a full-on day! On one hand its a major match in rugby with a team from the North against a team from the South in a final! The whole of NZ is organising their day to watch this.
I was shooting a lovely swedish glass with a coloured stripe in it and when choosing a setting that was too light, my camera couldn’t cope and did this! Obviously If you get too stroppy with your settings, the camera says, “no way, hosae”!
On another hand -
Three good things:
1. I’ve finished editing the Journal! I’ve stopped it in a part of her diary as it no longer means travel. I now have to read another two journals to summarise in a few words what happened from then on! I do have to have another gin!
2. Got some sheep manure to put on to the rose garden, now pruned to within two fingers! (Actually 2 fingers got ripped by some rose prickles!) Cost $5/bag (local Lions) but 4 bags covered it well!
3. Our Highlanders Team won!
All good things & your photo had a mind of its own & did wonderful things all by itself! Alex our granddaughter working near Christchurch has just got a Jack Russel puppy & she has named it Gin....wonder if she's trying to tell us something?
Lovely bokeh in this image!! Every so often I enjoy having my camera focus on manual and playing with it to see if I like the effect! This is very impressive!! By the way, I have been wondering about your journal.....are you publishing a travel diary, or is it your family history? Sounds interesting.
@panthora I have been transcribing my mothers diaries, Osia. She went to Britain from NZ in 1929 when she was 24yrs old and travelled around in a 1928 Morris Oxford.
