Well, computers and what you ‘click’ on are so important! I don’t know if something I clicked on caused this immensely slow computer problem. Adobe Flash player is a big suspect.
There were two Canadian mountain climbers found dead in an avalanche from a popular mountain trail today and also in a recently distressing situation, an older guy drove to a Lions Meeting in the far South of NZ and never returned home. His vehicle was found stuck in mud in another farm and his footprints were noticed around the vehicle. Its now 5 days later and he hasn’t been found. He has diabetes2 and the onset of alzheimers. I’m imagining how his wife is feeling!
This was an early dawn shot from our deck - with the tripod and allowing ISO to make its own decisions!
Three good things:.
1. My “noise’ on earlier shots turned out to be a dirty lens!
2. My search for chocolates hidden in the larder wasn’t successful!
3. Spent a big part of the evening on all fours stalking the cat - I thought it was supposed to be the other way round!
I love your three good things........always have that touch of humour! Sad about the incidents, I suppose you do get adventurous types that do risky things sometimes but tragic end to their climbing plus bad luck. Doesn't look to good for the other guy either. I always used to be worried that Anthony would get lost in the bush or fall down & never be found so we bought him one of those alert things. Quite expensive they are too but put my mind at rest. They haven't to be pulled willy nilly only as a last resort....if it's a false alarm you have to replace it yourself but a genuine emergency the authorities do replace it.
@happypat That would have been ideal in his situation, Pat! Being a diabetic firstly! Its not looking good for this guy - he's just 70 and only dressed in a suit and ordinary shoes. They have helicopters, drones, dogs, search and rescue guys, the Lion's themselves all out looking!
Lovely image - Love the light peeping through!! Still laughing at your 3 good things!! So pleased you have solved the riddle of the noise!! very sad news about the climbers and the poor man lost - his family must be desperate!! Finlay loves me to chase him too!!
A wonderful capture --stunning streaks of light Sorry to hear the d mews re thee climbers and the elderly gentleman but had a warm smile at your 3 good things ! Glad the dirty lens was solves !! Sorry re no chocs hidden for you to discover ,and I would love to be a fly on the wall watching you stalking the cat !! which one of you got tired first !! lol !
Fabulous lights in the photo! Sad stories. Can't imagine being the families, nor can I imagine being the victims. However, cat stalking IS fun! Being without chocolate, not so much.
I'm sure the families are gettig lots of support from friends and they will need it. @shesnapped My computer is being such a naughty boy I think I will smack its bottom and see if that fixes it!
Gorgeous sunrise - love the colour and the silhouettes.
It was so sad to read those news stories - the Canadian guys were so young, and off on an amazing adventure - so sad to see their lives end so soon. Awful for all the families concerned.
@barb_b I do agree with you Barb - so enthusiastic and thought that NZ could provide the challenge they looked forward to! Frightful for their parents of course!
Love the way you've captured the light in this Maggie. beautiful. So sad about the climbers and the elderly man. His family must be so worried. On all fours stalking the cat? No comment!!
Lovely silhouettes and sky. Yes, it is so sad about the young Canadian who have died, just at the beginning of their lives. The news of the missing older man is also dreadful. This sort of news does make one count one's blessings.
Fantastic shot. So sad about the climbers and the Lions man. I do hope they find the latter. I couldn't upload or even get into 365 last night, it kept telling me the server was unavailable and I had just caught up after a weekend away. Computers!!!!!
@happypat Sad ending to this story - his body was found in a paddock about 2km away from his car but it was apparently very difficult terrain! Poor guy!
