Sunday walks by maggiemae

Sunday walks

The Bike Show was where I found no skills in capturing people shots. They either were behind someone or someone walked in front of them (I have numerous blurred figures of odd people walking). I did try to anticipate but that didn’t work either! So I went walking.

Opposite was a wonderful Auckland Park with lots of paved trails.

Three good things:
1. Reading about what brought a smile to your face was so good - it was my “Relentless waves” shot. …... Cats, music, small kids, babies and animals, wildlife and drives out in Minis, remarks of grandchildren, flowers - isn’t it great?
2. In our motel complex there were some Asian people in the night next door to us who liked to shout - including their children. John wanted to go along, put a finger to his lips then smash his fist into his hand and see if they understood! They went on for hours! Not a good thing!
3. Listening to people next to our table in the restaurant there was a lady who talked non stop about everything - from her visit to Amsterdam to the health benefits of aloe vera ( she pronounced it, alavero). Wasn’t that a song?
Beautiful capture of this park, the shadows, the peaceful feeling, people and awesome textures of the tree!! Great capture!! FAV!

Beautiful capture. Love the greens, the shadows the composition., well everything about t really! You should have let John go and sort out your inconsiderate neighbours.Reminds me of a Dr friend who was called to the same family three times during in one night when there really wasn't a problem. Early next morning on his way to into work he passed the house which was firmly shut up and they were obviosly all still in bed so he rang the bell and woke them all up to check they were OK!

Just what Sunday walks are all about. Great park view and feeling of relaxation. People shots are very tricky, keep trying, youll be at the right place and time eventually.

August 17th, 2015
@ishutter I got one recently though, Kim - of an old guy sitting down doing a crossword - he didn't move - but he was alive, I made sure of that!

@ishutter Just decided to post it - that photo!

The beautiful comp, processing, and especially the framing make this a fav for me. The loud voices at night, and the nonstop talker at breakfast, would irritated me very much.

Beautiful park....gorgeous, ancient trees.....so green and lush! My eyes have a hard time adjusting after looking at too many yellow, dried out lawns, and far too many succulents around here! ;-))
