This might look a contrived shot of this winter rose but all I did was position the camera underneath the rose looking up to a grey sky! I had to allow 10 secs for me to get out of the shot which I did and ended up with very muddy knees!
Three good things:
1. A grandson is trekking his way with 2 friend on the Mongolian Rally in an old french car. Lots of breakdowns but they are surviving! Last communication from inside a yurt!
2. Sneaking chocolate from the top shelf in the larder.
3. First daffodil has developed into a drop of gold!
Just stunning maggiemae....you have captured its very essence! Fave. Fun for boys in a yurt! It's amazing the places these young ones get to! Lydia was rather disconcerted to find she had to share a dormitory with men in Picton.....they made sure they were well wrapped up in onesies & jumpers!
The light shning through the leaves give a really translucent glow. I like the minimalistic look. Did you think that putting choc on top shelf would deter you from eating it if it was hard to see?!!
@happypat They seem to be able to communicate by satellite, Pat and have huge issues with maintenance! Everything is falling apart and has to be mended!
It was worth the muddy knees. it's the getting up that would bother me. your flowers is gorgeous. fav.
had to look up yurt to see what it is and what it looks like. kids nowadays get to travel a lot easier as when we were kids. happy for them.
beautifully done, the muddy knees are well worth this photo; good luck to your grandson on his rally (did them quite successfully in the states 50 years ago)
Great shot, Maggiemae. Love the lighting and the colors and white background too. Your good things are great. I love chocolate too. Hope your grandson have a safe trip. I have a friend that owns a yurt with her wife. Never heard of one before that. Had to google it back then. FAV
This is a stunning capture Maggiemae and well worth the muddy knees. You have captured these beautifully. They are such lovely flowers and last for ages. Find it hard to imagine spring when I'm trying to pretend that autumn isn't arriving here yet. I keep telling it that it's still August but it's not listening!
Fabulous shot! we are definitely edging into autumn here (despite summer being a nonentity) so I'm sure spring will be kicking in with avengeance down your way. I have friends driving in Mongolia at the moment as part of a round the world trip - fair to say it ti's heavily populated!
What a cool effect. How did I miss this one? I don't often look at the TT (probably because I've never been on it in 5 years of doing 365, ha ha), but I saw it there. I love your creativity and continual experimentation!
You have to sneak chocolate in your own house?!
