Butterflies are free by maggiemae

Butterflies are free

I can’t believe I have another butterfly opportunity!! This Monarch bounced between the too many dandelions in our lawn! Finally she disappeared over the fence and i was left prostrate on the lawn!

Three good things:
1. I’ve got some sort of bug - cramps, aches, nausea! Good thing the bed is just there!
2. Made Sloppy Joes which one doesn’t see around nowadays but we love them!
3. I wonder if chocolate is good for health problems!
A fabulous shot. So clear.

nice shot...did you know butterflies taste buds are in their feet?...or so i've heard :o)
February 27th, 2016
I expect that is why they like to touch flowers and not just dive into them like bees!

Gorgeous capture with great processing, fav for me. I was just reading that the numbers of monarchs overwintering in Mexico are substantially up, which is great news--hope I'll see more of them this summer, though it won't be anywhere the numbers which were around while I was growing up in the Niagara Peninsula. Sorry to hear you are sick--nausea is so unpleasant. Hope it's better by the time you read this.

Wonderful colours. I'm sure chocolate has to be good for you (in moderation of course!)
February 28th, 2016
@salza Everything in moderation of course! Even photograph?
February 28th, 2016
@maggiemae the definition of moderation is a personal one, in my humble opinion and it's application is totally up to the user!

@cashew thanks Kathy - this is the first time in nearly 5 years that I felt unable to take a photo! However after taking appropriate pills, I do feel better!

@maggiemae Know how you feel. In my case I have to take pills 3 times a day in order for me to take photos!! Not for having a bug though! Wish it was!! Still, love the photo!!!
