Day at sea and there was nothing to see except many fishing vessels and one boat that looked like an MI5 boat which was probably firing shots over our bow according to my imagination!
Used my iPhone to work out how many steps I had taken in the day and the total was 4km and 14 floors climbed!
Three good things:
1 My book presentation went well - I thought I was not being very smooth with my talk but John said I spoke well. I thought I would forget words but didn’t. People were interested and asked questions.
2. The boat moved a bit from side to side in the swell so after a martini that we had at the end of a dance lesson, the effect didn’t seem too obvious - everyone was bouncing off the walls! I learnt how to ‘swing’!
3. John got told very tactfully that he needed a jacket in the bar - (where this photo was taken) -it was 8.30pm so he shot down to the cabin and came back with one. We had something called a ‘silver -ita’ which had tequilla in it!
It looks like a very posh place and sounds as if you are having a magnificent time. So glad your presentation went well and good for you how many steps you are taking and stairs you are climbing.
Ooh I missed this one, I have been dying to hear how your book presentation went too. I bet you were glad when it was over but must have felt a great sense of achievment! Hope you had some books to sell afterwards like they do at concerts...I have some CDs at the back if anyone would like to purchase my latest album.......
Best to keep a bit aloof I reckon, it would be awful to have people you have to avoid if you see them because you can't get rid of them! I love swing, a great dance era to learn.
So was this trip all about your book? I have missed a lot. SIL had a long Cancer battle and I was off here for the most part. Looks like a nice place inside the ship.
