The Church Affair

Maybe goodbye to Mr Man and Yolanda or maybe not!

I took a photo of this beautiful Oamaru church today and because of the cars in front I tried to clone them out. This seemed to involve major construction work that I was incapable of. So I investigated a way to make them part of this scene. The church is called, St Pauls.

Three good things;
1. A delicious club sandwich at the beach cafe plus the best coffee.
2. The adventurous two will be resurrected when I, and only I will feel like it! They are a bit pushy!
3. FB when a son posts pics of where he is travelling with his two children!
Really effective. Well done!

@tonygig The cars looked awful when it was all in colour, Tony!

I love your processing, it's like a pencil sketch and the cars seem to enhance the picture

Really effective Maggie

@barb_b Often a red car is so bright and tends to dominate the picture. Good to tone it down a bit, Barb and @thistle Joyce!

Good decision ... a very striking result.

This is a very nice architecture shot, The red car lifted the shot. May be just because it is red, not because it is a car.

@yaorenliu Overall, I think you are right.
August 9th, 2016
Totally fab processing!

Impressive result from your processing, almost as if the church is from another dimension.

Awesome shot

Very nice effect, it looks like an artist's impression.
August 9th, 2016
Ooh! Perhaps they are INSIDE the church getting married?
Superb edit of this beautiful church

What great processing, This is a skill I need to learn when I get home. It would be nice to remove some tourists from my city shots. I mean that in the nicest possible way because I guess I am a tourist too. I reckon I have imprinted myself in others' photos at times too.

@kiwinanna Cloning often works but in a picture like this there are no steps visible to be able to clone to replace the car. Another programme is snapheal but I haven't got that one.

@grammyn No, there would be tons of cars parked out if there was a wedding, Katy. This church is right in town so there are generally cars parked here!

Oh, a clever and effective edit. The church looks like a pencil drawing, almost, as do the cars - except for their pops of color. Fascinating!
