Rhubarb on the way up by maggiemae

Rhubarb on the way up

Our rhubarb has popped up once again and we need to cut and cook! I took this shot and used a pixelated option for the leaves.

Three good things:
1. We had pancakes I made with real - that’s real, Canadian maple syrup! Makes a huge difference!
2. Good gravy.
3. A packet of capsicum seeds arrived in the mail - a reward for filling in a form.
Pancakes and real maple syrup yum interesting image too

Terrific treatment of this photo and I am so jealous of the rhubarb! Your pancakes with real maple syrup sound pretty good too.

@grammyn I wonder if rhubarb and pancakes would go together! Perhaps with yoghurt too!

Wonderful contrast between the stem and the leaves ...nicely processed! Your pancakes sound quite yummy!

Fun processing! We won't use anything but real maple syrup on our pancakes and we have a maple tree farm not too far from here, so we get it local and it's delicious! I would think you could make rhubarb syrup just like strawberry syrup and it would taste great on your pancakes.

I'm Canadian by choice, but never acquired the taste of Canadian Maple syrup, but rhubarb jelly or compote would be very tasty on pancakes or toast. love your processing you chose for this picture.

Great pixellation of the leaves leaving the rhubarb stem visible in the centre. Brilliant treatment.

I have never seen a stick of rhubarb look so interesting, you could go in there with a machete swishing & swashing all that undergrowth!
