Book club took me out of the town and into the country! But first I had a project the local Lions had asked me to participate in. Photos of the Pond where young people had the opportunity to learn to sail. Schools and social groups book this pond in advance and love the experience. The Waianakarua Lions want to compete for an award for the development of this facility! I have other photos from some years ago to add to this project.
Three good things:
1. Amazed at what these guys have accomplished in the last year.
2. Book club was the usual non-stop talking show where I tried to allow some to stop and others to start. Somebody needs to do this!
3. My thunderous cloud photo was accepted on our NZ weather site.
They were lucky to get that fantastic photo Maggie, it was amazing! Complete calm today though, lovely serene water in this sheltered little oasis! Your book club sounds pretty much the same as most!
@happypat One of these Waianakarua Lions member arrived unexpectedly at this book club meeting, waited patiently for a lady to stop talking, gave up and left!
@happysnaps I think that is the best thing as you say, Valerie! Young children are taught how to sail - and the wind is different each time they go and never lose the skill or the fun!
Congratulations for your photo selected !
