its the changes in the landscape of our garden to enable a hard standing for the caravan to park. Out goes a whole rhododendron a whole lavender, lots of bulbs…. but never mind - we have to put our caravan somewhere other than by the front door!
Three good things:
1. We got several square metres of good soil to put on a veggie garden.
2. My wonderful book that John gave me also gave me some information on how to take better photos, and I took some by focusing on the front of the picture, lifting the camera and getting the blurred subjects - John and one of the workmen.
3. It was so hot here today 26deg and it was really too hot. I didn’t feel like a bike ride down to get some seed potatoes.
I like this type of photo where the focus is on the front subject with a blurry background. Sounds like big changes but I can see you don't want to look out on a caravan all the time. Hot at this time of the year, thought you had snow still on the hills!
@summerfield We don't have much space in the garden and the caravan has to be put somewhere other than on the driveway, Vikki! We have many rhododendrons and more lavender elsewhere!
Great capture with great focus & DOF. It is good that the caravan is going to have a special place, but it is sad that the plants have to be taken out.
I'd be transplanting everything- I hate getting rid of plants and cutting down trees! Silly me- but so glad you already had plenty more. Our friends also bought a caravan recently and had to do the same thing. Good work on the photography lesson!
