When the bough breaks.. by maggiemae

When the bough breaks..

My camera can sometimes catch something that I don’t see in reality. This is an overhanging small branch of a tree with new leaves seen from underneath to a bright sky beyond. Odd shapes have appeared in the background.

Three good things:
1. John made a Brandy Alexander for a pre dinner cocktail and it was fabulous - used yoghurt instead of cream.
2. The Saiisbury Steak recipe is going to last 3 meals easily.
3. The story of Jean Batten - flying pioneer of the 1930’s was on TV but I found a more accurate biography http://www.teara.govt.nz/en/biographies/4b13/batten-jean-gardner
Absolutely fascinating!
Such pretty new leaves but I wonder what those strange shapes are? Makes a lovely photo though.

@flowerfairyann Someone might know, Ann. There were other branches and leaves just like this one but way out of focus!

Such pretty bow -- I thought they were flowers -- having sinus problems and it affects my eyes at the moment , but it is very pretty .Would the strange shapes be the sunlight on the out of focus leaves in the background ! just thinking !!

@beryl I think you must be right, Beryl. The sun was coming through the leaves.

I would love to exchange the next season coming up with the one you're in right now. Spring, a new beginning. beautiful picture and not to worry about the odd shapes. play of sun light coming through.

Lovely leaf details, colors

Very pretty! The "shapes" are over-exposed areas of light (the sky?) coming through the leaves. I think technically you could call it bokeh even though it's not the traditional dots of light.

I can't give an opinion on what this is, but, I love the way the light has caught all these different odd shapes....beautiful...fav

@olivetreeann I think you are right, Ann - there was bright sun up there and I had to factor that in so the leaves weren't affected!

@yaorenliu "The third eye is our ability to see what might be, to see potential. Everyone has access to his or her third eye. For example, when you have a hunch and act on it, ..." If so, then whoopee!
