I’m afraid I’ve not got much incentive at the moment. This is a birthday card that John gave me. With a bit of editing…
The opening line is: A LITTLE BIRD TOLD ME HOW OLD YOU ARE NOW!…
Three good things;
1. Hopefully a better night’s sleep tonight - no deep thinking!
2. North Indian Butter Chicken - 3 packets make this dish plus you provide the chicken! Quite nice.
3. The lawns got done - I donned a helmet with a visor so I wouldn’t get sprayed by any stones in the outside garden. Probably looked like some TV character as the helmet was too big for me and kept slipping down so I couldn’t see where I was going!
And as an update on the present situation in NZ, we are fine - didn't feel the earthquake but the pendulum clock stopped at the precise moment!
After hearing the news about the earthquake earlier today I've been hoping you haven't been affected - so glad you haven't been. Amazing the clock stopped though.
Very happy to hear that you are fine; the earthquake sounded rather bad from what our news reported.
The card is so funny ...Nice job of capturing this wonderful memory. I didn't realize that it was around your birthday; I hope that you have/had a great time celebrating!
I'm amazed you didn't feel anything maggie, you must be good sleepers! William even felt it near Hamilton & doors rattled etc! Great card & the best end fir that bird!
I hadn't heard about the earthquake so just checked it out. So scary - glad you are safe where you are. My thought and prayers are with those further north who have been hit badly. Stay safe!
What a fun card, Maggiemae. Was going to ask you how you are doing as I heard the news this morning. Glad you are ok and how strange that your clock stopped at the exact moment. Is your clock back to working now?
Have a peaceful night tonight.

Glad you've not felt the effects of the earthquake, but how weird that your clock stopped.
when i see "indian" in your narratives, i always think of the motorcycle. so i was wondering why the words butter and chicken are with "indian"!!!
